For a few weeks now I've been heading out for Wed. night rides that are put together through Savage's bike shop. These are awesome! They coordinate several friendly ride groups and hit up a different location every week. I used to XC ride a lot before I picked up climbing and this has been a cool way for me to start again and see a lot of new trail development that's happened around Fredericton in the past 6-7 years.
My wife got me started on this group after she and a few friends bought their bikes there. Savage's have been nothing but awesome to her for service and I'd check them out if you're in the market. I got a new ride at another unnamed shop in town but it was more that I preferred their gear than their staff. These guys are good and hell.... they work in an old fire-station... sweet right!
Also, several of the Gravel Grinders put together a team to go to a huge bike fundraising tour to benefit the M.S. society. The Neon Riders are heading off to make their charity ride soon but are still taking donations. These kids are rocking out and have already raised 8 grand!
A few shots from our rip to Wolastock last night:

Awesome shots Chris!
ReplyDeleteI wish I would have gone out with you guys. I've got to get my butt back on my bike :)
i got my bike from savages and got a great deal on it. i was a little bit pissed to see they had pulled off the back brake and replaced it with a cheaper brand and heard of others having that problem as well. otherwise quite happy!
